SONGLINE THERAPY

It’s the relationship that heals.
— YALOM

About me

Welcome — I’m Amelia, the clinician behind Songline Therapy. My approach is informed by Indigenous conceptions of health, which recognise wellbeing as interwoven with relationships to land, spirit and community. Cultural safety is integral to my practice.

Rooted in this understanding, my work honours the deep, living connections that shape who we are — the ancestral archives we carry, the spiritual threads that bind us, and the communities that hold our stories.

I’m a person‑centred, trauma‑informed clinician who specialises in attachment‑based healing. I prioritise safety, attuned presence and compassionate care so you can begin to repair what’s been wounded. Practical results often include clearer boundaries, improved emotional regulation, restored trust and a stronger, more secure inner life.

Cultural safety in my practice means you won’t be asked to teach me about your culture. I commit to listening, learning, and being accountable. Practices are negotiated collaboratively, boundaries are honoured, and trauma is addressed within frameworks that respect sovereignty and self‑determination. When appropriate and with consent, I welcome ceremony, traditional practices, and connection to land as part of healing. This approach aims to seed wellbeing through relationship — restoring the threads between self, community and place so that healing is sustained.

Who I walk with: I work with people from marginalised and frequently unheard communities — survivors of sexual abuse, individuals coping with acute mental health challenges, and those re‑forming identity following incarceration. I have extensive experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people navigating cultural loss and disruptions to identity and belonging. Alongside this, I work respectfully and trauma‑attuned with LGBTQIA+ clients and others seeking care rooted in dignity and cultural understanding.

I remain actively engaged in Aboriginal, LGBTQIA+, arts and meditation communities. My aim is to hold a space where dignity is upheld, humans experience being seen, and healing is possible. I’m a PACFA registered psychotherapist holding a Masters in Psychotherapy + Counselling.
